What We’ve Been Working On:
If you’ve got 10K+ followers (or better yet, subscribers!!!) and a closet full of pieces you’re ready to part with, we’re working on something for you. Want to earn cash from what you no longer wear? Slide into
’s DMs for the details ;)SAVE THE DATE: The first Cache Closet Sale is happening in NYC on July 25th. More details on who/what/where coming soon.
Cache Club is officially off to the races! 🏁 Due to overwhelming demand, we invited 30 founding members to join our inaugural cohort. Cache Club is our version of an advisory board made up of passionate, forward-thinking individuals co-creating the next generation of fashion and tech. Our Slack channel is already buzzing with members sharing pieces they’d never part with, favorite resale platforms, and the songs powering their latest run or hot girl walk. We can’t wait to have this crew start testing the Beta re-launch as soon as next week (!!!).
What We’ve Learned:
Community > competition. This past week at NY Tech Week, the fashion tech scene was abundant. For many (myself included), it was a chance to mix and mingle with peers and industry insiders. But more importantly, it was an opportunity to connect with people who might otherwise be seen as competitors. The reality? The global secondhand apparel market is projected to hit $367B by 2029—including $74B in the U.S. alone. With numbers like that, there’s more than enough room for all of us. There’s a reason platforms like Poshmark, Depop, eBay, Grailed, Vestiaire Collective, Vinted, ThredUp, and The RealReal (you get the idea…) all coexist—and thrive. And by the way, if you saw the sheer volume of clothes at the Rose Bowl Flea Market alone, you’d know there’s room for everyone.

What We’re Reading:
Emily Oberg’s founder journey is nothing short of inspiring: I loved discovering this old post from Sporty & Rich founder,
. Emily’s journey from a retail job in Vancouver to building a $30M brand from an Instagram mood board is a powerful blueprint for what grit, vision, and self-belief can create without outside help. Her story is filled with messy, real moments—learning curves, burnout, botched orders, and hard resets—that make her success feel both extraordinary and deeply human. As a fellow Canadian, I find it especially moving to see someone start from such a relatable place and create something so culturally resonant and globally respected.
It’s not every day we get a memoir/playbook from one of resale’s founding
fathersmothers: Time to Get Real is part memoir, part startup manual from Julie Wainwright, who went from being labeled “unemployable” at 52 to launching The RealReal, now the world’s largest luxury resale platform. With unfiltered insights into the highs, lows, and lessons of building a billion-dollar business, it’s a must-read for anyone eyeing the intersection of fashion and entrepreneurship. Required summer reading? I think so.
