Disney partnered with ThredUp for Disney+ Throwback Experience: Disney is bringing '90s and 2000s nostalgia to life with a new and free immersive event in Los Angeles from June 12–15. Set up like a Melrose thrift store, the multiroom installation recreates iconic moments from beloved Disney+ shows and movies like Hannah Montana, The Cheetah Girls, Boy Meets World, and Freaky Friday. A key feature of the event is its partnership with ThredUp, which styled 100 vintage-inspired pieces for the space—each tagged with a QR code linking to a shoppable page on the secondhand platform.
Pinterest has partnered with affiliate shopping platform LTK to automatically add top-performing influencer images from LTK into Pinterest’s feed: Each post will include links to the influencer’s profile and tagged products, aiming to boost affiliate earnings by exposing creators to Pinterest’s vast user base. This initiative also serves to add fresh, authentic content to Pinterest and counterbalance the recent surge of AI-generated posts. The pilot will roll out gradually over the summer and may eventually include more creators and formats.
Rebag has teamed up with Amazon Luxury Stores to offer nearly 30,000 authenticated, pre-owned luxury items: Launching on June 10, the partnership merges Rebag’s rigorous authentication with Amazon’s premium e‑commerce experience, aiming to meet rising consumer demand for both sustainability and convenience. Immigration raids by ICE in LA have sent shockwaves through the city's fashion industry: Many garment workers—who make up over one-third of the U.S. apparel production workforce—face detention, disrupting operations and fueling fear among employer. A high-profile raid at Ambiance Apparel resulted in more than 20 detainees, highlighting the tension between federal immigration enforcement and initiatives to bolster domestic manufacturing. Factory owners, brand leaders, and advocates are warning that removing undocumented laborers risks collapsing a fragile ecosystem that relies heavily on their skills, sparking protests, legal pushback, and ethical concerns. With protests escalating and state officials challenging the deployment of military forces, the raids underscore a broader policy clash over the future of U.S. manufacturing and immigrant labor.
