Secondhand Shopping Guide #4: Austin
All the places to shop secondhand in the city that keeps it weird!
Austin is famous for its eclectic style and a vintage scene as vibrant as its music culture. As the Live Music Capital of the World, the city has long been a hub for creatives, which means its secondhand shops are packed with everything from perfectly worn-in band tees to broken-in cowboy boots.
With SXSW taking over the city this week, there’s no better time to dive into the local thrifting scene. Below you’ll discover my top spots plus a handy Google Maps link to save for your trip to Austin.
And if you’re wondering about my (Navya’s) credentials, I lived in Austin for four years while attending University of Texas at Austin, so consider this list battle-tested between classes, coffee runs, and a lot of “quick” thrifting stops that turned into three-hour excursions. Texas Longhorns fans, you know the drill. Hook ’em. 🤘
As always, the selections reflect my personal opinion and this list is by no means exhaustive, so if you feel there is a notable absence, please share in the comments/DMs! Because let’s be honest, gatekeeping is lame. 😏

Guad Vintage Market (🫶/🤝)
2932 Guadalupe St.
If you’re in Austin on a Sunday, this is a must. The Guad Vintage Market pops up every week from 12–6pm on the Drag in front of Pavement and brings together dozens of local vendors selling vintage clothing, jewelry, and the occasional digi cam. If you enjoyed our “On My Radar, but Make it Nostalgic” piece, this market is basically Y2K heaven—think baby tees, low-rise denim, and plenty of early-2000s gems waiting to be rediscovered.

Lo-Fi Vintage (💰/🫶/🤝)
604 W 29th St.
Lo-Fi Vintage is a go-to for curated vintage streetwear and music tees. The shop is known for its selection of rare concert merch and 80s–90s pieces, and they restock with new pieces weekly! The shop is relatively small, so the racks don’t feel overwhelming, but it does mean the good stuff moves quickly. If you see something you love, don’t assume it’ll still be there on your next lap around the store.
